$10 Indian Head Eagle Gold Coin

The Indian Head $10 Gold Eagle coin was first minted in 1907 as a replacement for the Liberty Head design. This beautiful design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens has retained its popularity even after more than 115 years.

Saint-Gaudens passed away in 1907 before he could finalize the design so the final touches and adaptation for coin production were overseen by the U.S. Mint's Chief Engraver, Charles E. Barber.
