1 oz Al Capone Silver Round

Alphonse Gabriel Capone, A.K.A., Al Capone, was a notorious American gangster and crime boss during the Prohibition era of the 1920s and 1930s. He gained notoriety as a leader of the mafia that was involved in bootlegging (illegal alcohol during prohibition), gambling, and various other forms of organized crime.

Capone's criminal empire was based primarily in Chicago, where he controlled speakeasies, brothels, and other illegal enterprises. He became widely known for his ruthless tactics, including violence, extortion, and bribery, to maintain control over his operations and eliminate rivals.

Capone was declared Public Enemy #1 by newspapers and politicians following the brutal murder of seven rival gang members that occurred in broad daylight on Saint Valentine’s Day in 1929.

Despite his criminal activities, Capone managed to maintain a public image as a charismatic figure who provided jobs and resources to the community.
