In the foreground, a large kangaroo is glancing over its shoulder. The kangaroo is a national symbol of Australia and is celebrated on various forms of currency and included as an element in the country's coat of arms.

Inscriptions on this side include: "Kangaroo", the "P" mint mark, the year-date, "1 oz" weight and ".9999" purity.

The mint operates one of the most state-of-the-art facilities, uniquely engineering advanced anti-counterfeiting features into the design to provide investors with additional assurance. Such as the micro-laser engraving within the letter "A" that is visible with a magnifying glass.
