Not always the lowest in price but the service and timing is exemplary.
I have to shop prices and buy the best deals I can but they are my go to internet precious metals dealer. There is always some great deal if you watch your buying habits. *****
Not the largest selection, but on some items, they beat the competition, but you have to look hard for them. They do have the best educational videos and pretty fast shipping compared to others. Might be the best Platinum pricing I've seen, and they did have excellent Black Friday and holiday pricing.
I've made several purchases from SD Bullion and many other dealers. While they may not be the lowest price on everything, the quick delivery never disappoint. My latest order of 1 kg silver bars arrived on time and in perfect condition. Their consistent reliability keeps me coming back.
SD has some decent premiums compared to others. Shipping is decent. Like all others it’s only free if over $200. Never had an issue with product quality.
The packaging from SD Bullion is secure and discreet. I've never had any issues with my shipments, and they always arrive in perfect condition.
I have bought from SDB off and on over the years. They used to be competitively priced but have creeped up more than some of the others over time. Warning: DO NOT BUY THEIR JEWELRY, they won't buy it back.
Had a good experience buying my 5 oz silver bar from SD Bullion. To qualify for free shipping, I also bought some silver coins, which turned out to be a great addition to my collection. Customer support was responsive and delivery was prompt.
The best of the best! My go-to company for anything gold or silver. I seldom shop around - I usually just go with them. 5 Stars all the way around.
Would not recommend SD if you bank with Chase and prefer to do e-check payments. For some reason they don't explain, they won't take e-check from Chase. So the options are to either send a check or use a different payment method (all of which have higher premiums). I placed 2 orders a few days apart and sent check for both to get the lowest premium. One order took 17 days from order date until it was received and the other took 20 days. For reference, my past e-check orders from other sellers typically take 7-10 days. Hardly the end of the world, but enough of a hassle that going forward I will only buy here if it's an incredible deal. One of the coins also arrived a bit scuffed up; again, not a huge deal, but a bit disappointing after all the waiting.
Meh !! I am not impressed. I placed an order today and 5 minutes later I wanted to add 1 coin and 3 rounds. I called and they said there was nothing they could do except I could place another order ... I really did not what to spend another $199. Kind of a ridiculous system, but hey, it's Their Sand Box.
I have completed several purchases from SD Bullion. I am very pleased with their products received. Top quality. I only pay by check to avoid credit card fees. So I wouldn't know how that works. But excellent products.
I've had noting but good dealings with SD Bullion, been dealing with them for a few years now.
I asked to change a order and was told no problem. Later I was told I would be charged a cancellation fee $219.09. This company is a massive RIPOFF.

Bought a 5 oz silver bar from SD Bullion and some silver coins to hit the free shipping mark. Delivery was faster than anticipated, which was a pleasant surprise.
I compared prices for gold Philharmonics across various dealers and found SD Bullion to offer the best rates, even better than Kitco and APMEX. The entire purchasing process was smooth, and the delivery was prompt and reliable. Extremely satisfied with my transaction!

I've made six purchases from SD Bullion and have not had any problems. I have done business with about a dozen dealers online and SD Bullion ranks in the top three. They ship extremely fast, maybe number one in speed of shipping (with a wire). I would like to see more options as to where I can have my order shipped such as FedEx/UPS store pickup. I don't like this stuff delivered to my house, esp. heavy silver packages. They are top notch.
I have been a customer for 5 years. Got into gold and silver so much. I bought electronic machine to verify my silver and gold. Never had a problem. Always real silver and gold.

You pay for what you get. Low prices sometimes. Terrible customer support. They have an algorithm when you order with a credit card, their system may kick your transaction days later. by that time, the prices may have increased. when you call them they say try wire transfer. we can't do anything about it, it's too prevent fraud. meanwhile I've ordered from them multiple times with the same card. They suck. One guy argued with me over the phone. Spoke to the manager and offered a small discount on next order. nice try but you won't be getting my business anymore. FOH
I have made two purchases from SD Bullion. They have a web page called Doc’s Deals and they always have special offers with reduced premiums. They also offer an introductory one ounce American Eagle at spot price, with your first order. They send email confirmations of the order and they send an email when the package is shipped, along with the tracking number. My first order was delivered in 10 days, my second in 8 days. I am very satisfied.
I made an order with SD Bullion on line on the weekend. Well I screwed up the order completely and ended up doubling my order with paying one way that would of cost me at the bank for a bank draft etc. The staff was great and canceled the erroneous order. They could have charged me a canceling fee of $150.00. They have gained me as a forever customer.
I found the coin selection with SD Bullion impressive. The fast shipping was a pleasant surprise, with my items arriving sooner than anticipated. It's nice to see a company that delivers on its promises
I purchased a few old panda coins from SD bullion, they did not mark any condition issues in description but a few of them has copper spots that looks not very good, called them, they do not want to do anything. These coins looks not good and if I knew they had condition issues, I would not have bought them. AT LEAST they should put condition issues to alert buyers.

I have purchased a few pounds of silver in 1oz coins and bars, broken up into several different orders as it came available. If you spend over $500 you get free shipping. Their pricing has been very reasonable, shipment on orders is pretty fast from the time your payment clears. On one occasion something went wrong with my echeck payment and they worked with me over the phone to clear it all up, they held the price till my second payment attempt went through. I would definitely recommend them to anyone just getting started in this market
I have made 4 orders with SD Bullion for a total of $2,137
This included a Sigma Metalytics macine on one of the orders. - I have always received the product exactly as expected. Shipping times have been as quick as 1 week, and as long as 16 days. - They will often have the lowest prices on certain items, and on others they will not, so always look at all your options. Also remember that price is not everything - sometimes it is worth a few dollars more to receive a service level that meets your expectations. - I plan to continue to do business with them.
My experience with them was terrible. I ordered a variety of 1 oz gold coins. At the time of my order they advertised shipping as 3-5 days after payment cleared. Long story short I waited almost 6 weeks after my payment cleared to finally receive my order. I contacted them multiple times about the delay, and all they had was a different excuse every time, would promise it was about to ship, then it didn't. When I asked why I got a new excuse. I'm done with SD Bullion, as I get much better service from JM Bullion, APMEX, Bullion Exchange, SilverGoldBull, etc. I'd give zero stars if I could.

Have made more purchases from SD than any other dealer since I started stacking earlier this year (not a long track record, I admit) and their prices have always been good, shipping is fast, well packaged and discreet (shipper name is SD Bearing Supply). Made one purchase with a bank wire, not knowing my bank was by appointment only because of the pandemic and customer service was very friendly and quick letting me change my payment method. If I ever have a bad experience like some reviews say I'll change my review but they've been great to me so far.

They falsely advertise that they have the lowest prices guaranteed, but never have any for sale or that they have is in stock. In other words they're showing prices from months, maybe years ago but not anything that is actually for sale in present time. It's a lie and accept it.

I've been purchasing from SD Bullion for more than four years now. I have loved my dealings with them. They always offer the lowest prices on the bullion products that I like to purchase and stack. Plus they helped guide me on setting up a gold ira so now I'm out of the rigged stock market.
I used to do business with SD with no problem. That is until I by mistake clicked "money order" instead of ACH. The two options are very easy to confuse as they are right next to each other. Unfortunately, I did not notice until I had already place my order, after I placed it I noticed my mistake and immediately placed the correct order. Now SD is holding my payment hostage and is claiming I must pay $40 for cancellation fee + $300 for market loss, even though I contacted them immediately after I realized what I had done. So no gold and no money. The CS representative is rude and angry, she threatened to sue me and ruin my credit. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.
Purchased Silver American Eagles and paid via Pay Pal. Got a great deal just before they raised premiums to insane levels. They said it was a 15 day delay so I waited and waited. I emailed them and they said that pay pal had a problem. I called Pay pal and they said the money was sent immediatley and SDBullion was not claiming it. I emailed SdBullion back and told them pay pal said they had to claim the payment. Today I noticed they cancelled my order so I called them and and tried to explain it. They said they looked at everything and he IS NOT going over it again. I ask if they would reorder it at the locked in price we BOTH agreed to and they said no. I can reorder if I like at todays price. He kept insisting I was wrong and they would not do that for a couple dollars and saying he is not going over it again. Then he got Pissed off at me I guess because he hung up on me. You earned this rating. I hope everyone reads it !!!!!

I purchased $2600 worth of silver before the price bottomed out they charged my credit card and it went through, but never received the order and when I fot a reply 3 weeks later the said that they have canceled my order but still have not received any money back on my account. This is extremely frustrating, the least they could have done is told me that 2 and a half week ago.
Very bad customer service. One of them actually cursed at me, flat out lied to me twice, and hung up on me. Smoking Lamp is Out on SD Bullion...

I placed an order with them for a special they were running. They advertised a Gold Eagle at $17 premium over spot.
Not only didn't I get their offered price but they charged me 4% for buying it with my credit card.
Though the terms were buried in their fine print, I feel that their offer was very deceptive.
I ordered some bullion from this company and everything worked out fine. You only really get to know a company when you have a problem, so this is not a blanket endorsement.
I have made multiple purchases with SD bullion and for the most part I have been pleased. However, my last order was a different experience. I was not pleased with some coins that I received which is no big deal. However, the return experience was not impressive. I had to pay the shipping and a restocking fee to return the coins because they could not exchange them. If the coins had be listed as cull or damaged I could understand paying for the return. However, the description of the coins said BU. SD says they believe in doing business the old fashion way with industry-top customer service. Unfortunately, I did not get this feeling in my first experience with their customer service.
Among many very good and competitive online precious metals dealers, Texas Precious Metals distinguishes itself by offering the option to place a limit order. Say, the spot price of gold is $1,290, but you anticipate lower gold prices of $1,270. You can place a limit order for your favorite gold coin at spot of $1,270 plus a specific coin dependent premium. If the spot price does not reach your expected price of $1,270 within a specified period (say one month), the limit order expires without any expense to you. However, if the spot price does reach indeed $1,270, then your order is executed and you will have to send a check to for the executed order. This is a very sophisticated tool which allows the buyer to buy precious metals at lower than prevailing prices. The beauty of this order is that your limit order will be executed even if the gold price drops to $1,270 only for a few seconds or minutes.
Actually a fairly decent brokerage. Interactions with them have been smooth and fair. I’ll purchase here again.
