The obverse of 2022 British Platinum Britannia Coins features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. This is the fifth-generation design from Jody Clark and was produced for the Royal Mint of England in July 2015. It depicts the Queen in right-profile relief wearing the Royal Diadem crown.

  • 3rd design release of the British Platinum Britannia coins.
  • Contains 1/10 Troy oz of .9995 pure platinum.
  • Bears a face value of 10 (GBP) backed by the British Government.

  • On the reverse is a depiction of Britannia created in 1987 by Philip Nathan.

Fractional Platinum Britannicas are a great way to invest in a low-premium sovereign coin that is widely recognized and features enhanced security features.

Britannias image first appeared on coinage during the Roman occupation of Great Britain. Roman currency in the British Isles with the depiction of Britannia first appeared in 119 AD. During the 17th-century reign of King Charles II, Britannias image reappeared on British coinage.

The Britannia coin series has become popular with investors, stackers and others mainly due to its status from a sovereign mint.

Fractional platinum coins are less common than full ounce sizes. The size of these fractional coins makes them an excellent choice for those considering fractional gold.
