Officially the Moscow Mint of Goznak, the Moscow Mint was established in 1942 and is one of the primary mints in Russia. The company is managed by Goznak, which is responsible for the production of coinage, banknotes, postal stamp and medals. Goznak also manages the Saint Petersburg Mint.

The Moscow Mint produces a wide array of products including circulating and commemorative coins for both domestic use as well as coins for foreign states. The mint is known for its high-quality production standards and innovative minting techniques.

Imports of precious metals coins from Russia are currently sanctioned by United States. However, vintage gold and palladium coins, like Gold Roubles and palladium Ballerina coins imported prior to sanctions can be found on the secondary market and are also sought for their numismatic significance.
