Find out what your gold and silver are worth. These free calculators use live spot prices — updated throughout the trading day — to value everything from US coins to scrap jewelry, and to convert between weights and units. When you’re ready to act, compare live dealer prices to buy at the lowest premium, or see your options to sell.

How These Calculators Work

Every tool here is powered by the same live spot price that updates across FindBullionPrices.com throughout COMEX trading hours. Spot price is the value of the pure metal content; for coins and jewelry, the calculators apply the item’s purity (its karat or fineness) to that spot price to find the metal value. What a dealer or buyer actually pays then depends on the premium (when buying) or the buyer’s margin (when selling) — which is exactly what our comparison tools help you measure.

Have something to sell? Knowing the metal value is step one. See our guide to selling gold and silver for the best price. Buying instead? Compare live dealer prices to find the lowest premium.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these calculators free?
Yes — every calculator on this page is free and uses live market data.
How is melt value calculated?
Melt value is the metal content of an item valued at the current spot price: weight × purity (fineness) × spot price per unit. The tools above do this automatically using today's live spot.
How do I figure out what my scrap gold is worth?
Use the Gold Price Per Gram by Karat calculator: select your karat (e.g., 14k) and enter the weight. It returns the metal value at today's spot price, before any buyer's margin.
How accurate are the prices?
Calculations use the same live spot feed as the rest of the site, updated throughout the trading day. The metal value is exact for the weight and purity you enter; what you'll actually receive selling (or pay buying) varies by dealer.
