The China Mint (China Gold Coin Incorporation) is the official entity responsible for producing the People's Republic of China's bullion and commemorative coinage, including the internationally recognized Gold Panda and Silver Panda series. Operating under the authority of the People's Bank of China, the China Mint strikes coins at multiple state-owned facilities across the country, including the Shenzhen and Shanghai minting operations.

The Gold Panda, first issued in 1982, is one of the world's most collected bullion coins, known for its annually changing design featuring China's iconic giant panda. Gold Pandas are struck in .999 fine gold in metric gram weights (30g, 15g, 8g, 3g, and 1g). Silver Pandas are struck in 30g .999 fine silver. Both series carry Chinese yuan legal-tender face values and are widely traded through international bullion dealers. Premiums on current-year Pandas are competitive with other sovereign bullion; older dates with lower mintages can carry significant numismatic premiums.
