2026 Denver Coin Shows

2026 Denver Coin Shows

Colorado’s coin show calendar is anchored by the semi-annual Denver Coin Expo at the National Western Complex, the Colorado Money Show (a.k.a. the Denver Coin Club Show) at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, and active club shows in Colorado Springs, Longmont, and the Front Range. Compared to high-volume states like Florida or California, Colorado runs a thinner but well-attended schedule, with most of the major regional shows clustered between spring and fall.

Colorado is also a favorable tax state for precious-metals buyers — there is no state sales tax on bullion purchases over $500 — which makes the shows here particularly worth the drive for collectors and investors comparing dealer pricing.

Buying Gold & Silver at Coin Shows

For precious-metals buyers, coin shows in Colorado are a useful way to compare inventory and pricing in person. At the larger Colorado shows you will typically find dealers offering:

  • U.S. coins and currency
  • Gold and silver bullion (bars, rounds, sovereigns)
  • Pre-1933 U.S. gold coins
  • Junk silver and 90% silver coinage
  • Certified coins from PCGS and NGC
  • World coins, tokens, medals, and supplies

Shows also give newer collectors a chance to ask questions, learn how grading and pricing work, and meet local dealers who can be useful long-term contacts for sourcing inventory or selling collections.

Notable Colorado Coin Shows

Denver Coin Expo

The Denver Coin Expo runs twice a year at the National Western Complex in Denver — a spring show (typically late April/early May) and a fall show (typically October). It is consistently the largest bourse floor in the Rocky Mountain region, with dealers offering coins, currency, bullion, and supplies. The 2026 fall show runs October 8–10.

Colorado Money Show (Denver Coin Club Show)

The Denver Coin Club hosts the Colorado Money Show twice a year (winter and summer) at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Golden. The August 14–15 summer edition draws a strong regional dealer presence and is one of the most accessible major shows in the state — free admission and free parking.

Colorado Springs Coin Show

The Colorado Springs Coin Club runs an annual show at Elks Lodge 309 in Colorado Springs, typically in late June. The 2026 dates are June 26–27.

Front Range Coin Club Show

The Front Range Coin Club (FRCC) hosts shows at the Boulder County Fairgrounds in Longmont. The 2026 fall show runs September 19–20.

Rocky Mountain Stamp Show

While not strictly a coin show, the Rocky Mountain Stamp Show (held annually in Aurora) attracts coin and currency dealers and is worth knowing about for collectors who cross over between numismatics and philately.

Colorado Coin Clubs and Resources

Colorado Sales Tax and Bullion

Colorado does not charge sales tax on precious metals purchases over $500. This is one of the more favorable bullion tax regimes in the country and is worth keeping in mind when comparing total cost across out-of-state dealers, especially for larger gold and silver purchases.

Tips Before You Attend a Coin Show

Before heading out to a show, keep a few basics in mind:

  • Verify the date, hours, and venue before leaving. Public calendars update, but last-minute changes still happen.
  • Bring a want list so you stay focused.
  • Compare dealer premiums if you are shopping for gold or silver bullion. Different dealers carry different inventory and price differently.
  • Carry cash, but also ask which dealers accept cards or checks for larger purchases.
  • For better-quality coins, know the difference between raw and certified material.
  • For bullion buyers, check the live spot price before walking in so you have a real-time benchmark.

Colorado’s calendar is thinner than the high-volume coastal states, but the four to six major regional shows in any given year are well-attended and worth planning around if you collect or invest in physical bullion.
