2022-S Silver Quarters

In 2022, the U.S. Mint released special collector editions of the American Women Quarters struck in 99.9% pure silver. These coins were available exclusively in the annual Silver Proof Set, issued by the San Francisco Mint and featuring an “S” mint mark.

The set included all five 2022 American Women Quarters—Maya Angelou, Dr. Sally Ride, Wilma Mankiller, Nina Otero-Warren, and Anna May Wong—each rendered in high-quality proof finish. Although the mintage was unlimited, the U.S. Mint issued only 57,769 Silver Proof Sets. Making 2022 Quarters with the “S” mint mark pretty rare.

Each 2022-S Quarter contains 0.199 troy oz of .999 fine silver with a melt value of 6.62.
