Kitco Customer Reviews

For investors, customer reviews serve as another source of information when making purchasing decisions by helping to gauge whether a particular bullion dealer aligns with their needs and preferences. While highly subjective, customer reviews can be helpful in understanding how online bullion dealers handle customer service, particularly when issues arise with regard to payment, shipping or delivery.

The reviews below have been submitted to us by Kitco customers based on their individual experience and ordering with the company with the most recently shared reviews displayed first.

Kitco lost a very large wire payment I made about 2008. Eventually they found it after about a month and repeated inquiries, but the loss of such a large bank wire does not reflect well on Kitco. How does a bank wire get lost? If the payment had been a paper check or credit card, the order & payment could simply have been canceled, but order was too large for a check or credit card. The bank wire was withdrawn from my bank account and it took Kitco a month to locate it. Kitco now reports on crypto currencies, with indicates little knowledge in the crypto market and little faith in the bullion market.

I purchased three 1 oz Pamp Suisse Rhodium bars from them, and I went back to sell them, and they would not buy it back. I was told they would buy them back when I bought them. https://www.youtube.com/c/AnthonyFrisone

I have bought and sold to Kitco going back to 2009.I have never had a problem with them. Prices are not the lowest but paying a little more for peace of mind does not bother me.

I would consider buying something from this establishment, but a $1000 minimum order is ridiculous. Then to top it off, you will pay shipping until you reach a $5000 threshold. How do they even stay in business? Their inventory is weak and their prices aren't seductive enough to even spend $1000.

Agree with lowballing. They'll only buy silver rounds at regular price (spot minus 25 cents) if they resell them, which means very few. Otherwise, they try buying silver rounds as "generic" scrap, paying more than a dollar an ounce less, supposedly because they're going to melt them. C'mon - Kitco just happens to sell generic groups (grab bags) of silver rounds - so... perhaps they're playing the game of buying nice rounds for lowball prices, then selling them at high markups?? I ended up not selling my rounds - I can sell on eBay and keep that dollar an ounce for myself, even after all fees - and I denied Kitco the opportunity to make a larger profit than they deserve.

The biggest problem I have with Kitco is that they try so hard to put up a false image of giving a crap when all they really want to do is drain you pocketbook. Check their buyback prices, lowballing takes on a whole new meaning with Kitco. Somebody take this trash company to the curb already.
