APMEX has a fantastic range of platinum coins and bars, which made choosing easy. Just bought a few of the cheapest coins I could find to diversify a bit. The only hiccup was the delayed shipping, but the product's did eventually arrive. definitely order again, hoping for quicker delivery next time.
APMEX did well with my Gold Maple order. Appreciated the free shipping and the customer service was proactive and responsive. The coin was delivered quickly and securely.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that APMEX offered secondary market silver coins at lower prices than JM Bullion. The website is user-friendly, making the purchase a breeze, and the coins were delivered on time. Thumbs up for the great service and value.
Ordered 1 oz Britannia coins from APMEX. While the website was easy to navigate and the delivery timely, the packaging got beat up and the box was torn, not as robust as I expected. The coins are fine, but I've seen better packages from other dealers.

4 stars for quality of product but as others stated premium are high. I have been a customer with them for 10 years and just made a 250 oz purchase before finding this site unfortunately.
They do have an auto invest that I liked but have put it on pause letting them know that I am shopping for best price with no more blind loyalty.
APMEX does have competitive prices for secondary market gold coins, and the delivery is quick. However, some coins weren't in the best shape, having minor scratches and blemishes, which was somewhat of a bad surprise but not unheard of from APMEX.
This is my #1 dealer due tot he fact that they have had some of the most diverse products in any online or local inventory. Yes; their premiums are the highest in the industry and there is a reason for this. I usually can order from APMEX without the product being "Out of Stock" (or readily in stock in a short period of time) or their shipping is the best in the industry. Take your pick. The premiums I pay for in 2022 are for quick, free shipping and a diverse catalog. Thanks.
I used to buy only from Apmex because of quick shipping and a very diverse selection of products. However, their prices are totally insane. It doesn't matter what I am shopping for, Apmex is always 10-15% higher than the cheapest product I can find. Their price over spot cannot even compete with some of the other dealers out there.
Purchased silver from them, it was junk silver, and NOT coinage, but just crappy scraped and gouged silver round and 10 gram, TEN gram bars. After i personally tested everything they sent me STERLING! They won't let me leave this review on their site! They exchanged it. However most just believe what they buy is picked by knowledgeable people, after OTHER knowledgeable people go thru the items, and then bin them. NO QC!! No checker of the checker. Jokelahoma! I will never use them again.
APMEX has the highest standards in the industry - when I order, I know my product will be of the highest quality and shipped discreetly and in a timely manner. I will order again and again from APMEX. Confidence is paramount when buying gold and silver.
Four orders completed. Another in process. No problems so far. Lots and lots of inventory items that smaller dealers will probably not have (Like pre 1933 gold dollars) Not always the cheapest but often they are. Definitely worth checking their prices every time you shop.
I've bought from APMEX five times, and haven't had any problems. They may not be the cheapest; however, when I can't find what I'm looking for somewhere else I usually end up at APMEX.
Never had an issue or problem with APMEX. they have the absolute widest selection of coins, currency, and metals in the market.
apmex bailed on a deal to sell after the price went up. they held my money for month then finally returned it. i guess i should be greatful they only reneged on the deal.
Great experience with APMEX. Cant beat the 100 oz selection and the portfolio tool is handy.
I love APMEX for their great selection and extremely fast processing & shipping. I recently ordered a premium silver set believing it was a good value. I later decided to search the site and calculate each piece separately and discovered I could have saved 90 dollars!
The only option I had was to return the set and lose 50.00 on the return. I contacted them and received a 20.00 credit. Lesson learned.
Pros: Very large selection, fast shipping, good customer service.
Cons: Higher premiums compared to other online dealers, most sale prices are just ok.
Really the only reason why I ever buy on APMEX is because all the other dealers don't have what I'm looking for. APMEX is seldom the lowest price dealer. However, they make up for it with selection and customer service.
Short and sweet, mediocre products at premium prices. Enough said.
As always, APMEX delivers. They are usually not the cheapest when it comes to the most common stuff but they are reliable and have an amazing product selection. Lately I've been ordering 20 Franc gold coins from their eBay store for less than the cash price most other dealers are selling them for, including APMEX's own website.
