1 oz Gold Bar Rand Refinery

The Rand Refinery was established in the 1920's to refine gold discovered within South Africa.

Today, they have become one of the largest integrated single-site precious metals refining and minting companies in the world, processing and refining gold ore and recycling gold from various sources, into gold bars of 99.99% (four nines) fineness.

The Rand Refinery 1 oz Gold Bar is a .9999 fine gold (24 karat) minted ingot with an obverse featuring the Rand Refinery's logo, weight, fineness, and unique serial number.

The reverse side displays a mother and child elephant pattern repeated across the back. The term LOXODONTA which is the genus designation of African Elephant is also inscribed on the back.

The assay package includes important information to verify its weight and fineness as well as a copy of its unique serial number engraved on it.

Rand Refinery 1 oz gold bars can be an excellent low-premium investment for precious metals buyers looking to maximize their return. These are the same brand of gold bars sold by Costco.

Located in Germiston, South Africa, the RAND refinery has played a significant role in the country's history, particularly in the gold industry. The refinery was founded to process gold from some of the world's deepest and richest gold mines, found in the Witwatersrand region of South Africa.

Over the years, the RAND Refinery has processed enormous quantities of gold, contributing significantly to the South African economy and the global gold market. It is renowned for producing the famous gold bullion coin, the Krugerrand, first minted in 1967 to help market South African gold. The Krugerrand quickly became one of the most popular and recognized gold coins worldwide.
